DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS FOR THE TOWN OF WHITECOURT
The documents posted here were adopted by Town Council on the 11th of January 1999 marking its commencement date. Any construction after this date must comply with this set of standards.
The standards are compiled into sections outline on the table of contents. Each section contains specifications and detail drawings. The standards are applicable to any town contract or private development.
The objective of Design and Standards for The Town of Whitecourt is to ensure all infrastructure work is constructed to a consistent practice.

The design sections are meant to be minimum standards and not rigid requirements. The Town is receptive to changes where proven technical and economical solutions achieve a better solution.
The Town promotes continuous improvements and welcomes comments in the content of standards by consultants to seek new and better solutions.
