The Whitecourt Business Support Network is hosting industry specific speaker series that will feature a specific industry each month to provide employers with tangible best practice toolkits to enhance workforce attraction and retention practices.
Normal is Broken: Exploring Possibility in Radical Change
You are invited to this Business Support Network (BSN) “Lunch and Learn” meeting in Whitecourt at the Forest Interpretive Center on Wednesday, May 22nd at 11:30am.
At this meeting you will hear a keynote presentation on how “Normal is Broken: Exploring Possibility in Radical Change,” from Dennis Cuku, Canadian Speakers Bureau.
Dennis will walk us through his synopsis of how we live in a time of accelerating change, fully witnessing the end of the world as we have come to know it. Industries and ideologies are rising and falling faster than ever before, spurred by new technologies, resource scarcity, and a post-pandemic society. Canada’s labour requirements and workforce demographic are also undergoing rapid transformation. There is choice in how we respond to these dramatic shifts, and there are enormous opportunities that await those who embrace and steward the future. Dennis Cuku will share his Tales from the Trenches while providing insights into the possibilities and potential of tomorrows world. You’ll leave inspired and with a handful of pragmatic actions you can take to create an extremely successful future for yourself and your enterprises.
Dennis will explore the future of Business Ecosystem, VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity), Systems Thinking, Rethinking Disruption, Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail, and examples of small business adaptations.
