Partnership & Sponsorship Opportunities

For the past 13 years, Whitecourt and Woodlands County have been conducting research and consultation on the options for a Culture & Events Centre, and the Town started contributing to reserves in 2010.  Planning has involved extensive public and user input.

The Centre backs onto Festival Park (formerly Rotary Park) and includes an administrative office and the communities have proposed two additional components be built with it: a Library and an Arts, Culture & Convention Centre.

The Centre will revitalize the downtown core and increase growth and economic development in both communities.  There are also several synergies (shared space, cost savings) with combining the three components.

There are a variety of facility and partnership opportunities available. Depending on the level of partnership, benefits of your involvement may include:

• Your organization's name on facility promotional, program, and advertising correspondence and media relations

For more information on facility naming opportunities please contact the Director of Community Services at 780-778-2273. Sponsorship opportunities range from full facility naming rights to naming individual features such as the Allan & Jean Millar Centre Lazy River or Leisure Pool.

Local businesses, organizations, service clubs, community groups, and individuals can provide support through cash contributions, in-kind services, joint promotions, and/or product donations. Kick off the summer season with us at the annual Party In The Park event, or help us build on the success of the Arts In The Park events for coming years. With 10,000 brochures printed annually, the Community Spectrum continues to be one of Whitecourt's most sought after local publications. Private businesses can advertise on the walls at the Whitecourt Twin Arenas, or at the ball diamonds at Graham Acres. There are also opportunities to advertise with Whitecourt Transit and the Dial A Bus. For more information contact 780-778-6300.
