Pumphouse Trail reopened ahead of schedule

Pumphouse Trail, which runs from Sakwatamau Drive through to the 47 Street Centennial Park entrance, has reopened for public use.
Pumphouse Trail has been closed since the end of May so that crews could complete Phase 1 of the Centennial Park Pathway Improvement Project. Phase 1, which was completed ahead of schedule, included removing asphalt and paving of a portion of the trail system. This is part of a larger project that will be completed in phases over three years, and includes the rehabilitation and widening of trails, as well as drainage improvements in the park space. The improvements will enhance usability, accessibility, and safety of the Centennial Park trail system.
