Street Closures approved for events scheduled Saturday, August 24

Streets near Festival Park and in the Hilltop Industrial Area will be closed temporarily to accommodate scheduled events this Saturday.
5km Bubble Run hosted by Anytime Fitness
Runners will be hitting the streets and trails near Festival Park as part of Anytime Fitness’ Bubble Run on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00am. Please drive with caution and watch for runners in the area.
- A single lane closure will be in effect from 9:00am to 3:00pm, with signage, barricades, and a flag person, along 47 Street and Flats Road to direct the flow of traffic.
- Event participants will also be using trails throughout Festival Park and Riverside Trail as part of the event.
Ralcomm Car Show
The Ralcomm Whitecourt Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, August 24 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. To accommodate the event, 35 Street, from 34 Avenue to 35 Avenue (in the Hilltop Industrial Area), will be temporarily closed from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Due to the street closure, Whitecourt Public Transit Stops 32 and 33 will be out of service on August 24. Public transit riders are asked to use Stop 31 (36 Street/37 Avenue) or Stop 34 (Kepler Street/38 Avenue) instead.
