Snow Clearing Update: January 16, 2024
Posted on:With the warming temperatures, crews and equipment were able to finish snow clearing in the downtown core today. Sanding trucks have and will continue to sand local streets. (Did you know: Salt is not effective on surfaces below -15oC. Today the surface temperature of Dahl Drive was still -26oC, which is why crews continue to use sand on local roads to provide traction.)
Crews are scheduled to work in the hilltop area January 17 to clear arterial and collector roadways.
Snow removal is scheduled along a portion of 55 Avenue on Friday, January 19. All vehicles MUST be removed from the road. Tag and tow will be in effect on Friday, January 19.
