Summer Street Fest is coming to downtown Whitecourt August 12
Posted on:Summer Street Fest is scheduled for Saturday, August 12 in downtown Whitecourt!
50 Street/Legion Street, between 51 and 52 Avenues, and 51 Avenue, between 49 and 50 Streets, will be closed from 7:00am to 11:00pm on Saturday, August 12. Barricades and signage will be posted; motorists are asked to use alternate routes.
Summer Street Fest is a one-day event that will run from 2:00-9:00pm to celebrate culture, local businesses, art, music, and dance in the heart of downtown. Join us for:
- Live entertainment;
- Sidewalk Art Challenge;
- Small business pop-ups;
- Whitecourt Mountain Bike ‘Show & Shine’ and Obstacle Course;
- Whitecourt Farmers Market;
- Whitecourt Wolverines ‘Brews & Bites’ (a beer garden on the street featuring local brews and hot eats);
- Cornhole Tournament;
- Face painting;
- Glitter tattoos & hair tinsel;
- Roving performances;
- Dream Catcher Workshop;
- Lawn games;
- Late night shopping.
