Underground utility repair on 50 Avenue scheduled to start at 6am on Saturday, July 27

Whitecourt utility crews will be working to repair water main valves along 50 Avenue starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27. Crews anticipate the work will be complete by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
Water service in the area will be interrupted between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 to properties located along 50 Avenue between 51 Street and 52 Street. All properties affected by this interruption will be notified directly.
A portion of 50 Avenue between 51 Street and 52 Street will be closed to vehicle traffic to allow crews to complete the repair. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes in the downtown area, and obey all posted traffic signs and directions.
Crews will be taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of the worksite, and the patience and cooperation of motorists, residents and business owners is appreciated.
