Wildfire east of Hilltop East Industrial Park under control
Posted on:Just after 2:00pm on May 31, a wildfire was detected east of the Hilltop East Industrial Park in Whitecourt. The Whitecourt Fire Department, with support from Alberta Wildfire, responded and the fire is currently under control.
Crews and equipment remain on scene. Blue Ridge Highway remains open to traffic; however, motorists are asked to obey all posted signs and traffic controls.
